“A new experience of storytelling.”

Cecil the Lost Sheep is the first in the popular Cecil and Friends series by Andrew McDonough, published internationally by Zondervan Kids. A family favourite of Enabled’s Directors, we approached Andrew offering to put his books on the iPad.

In order to use and adapt the Flash content already developed for the books, Enabled built a Flash engine that would play Flash content within iPhone and iPad apps. This allowed development to be very efficient, repurposing existing content with minimal coding required. However we took the ebook app further than previous content, with voiceover, animation, colouring-in, maze games and puzzles.

The result goes beyond a simple digital version of a print book, treating children to an immersive storytelling experience, and extensive interaction with the characters that will keep them entertained long after the story is over.
