Grant Hull

Director

With his background in theatre, co-director, Grant, is often joked about as being the ‘acting’ director of Enabled, but time has shown his creativity and flair is girded with real business sense. He handles the creative direction of projects as well as the sales and marketing for Enabled.

When he’s not roaming the world networking, he’s throwing ideas around the office, or getting his hands dirty with what he calls the "fun stuff," putting his impressive web, video and strategic skills to use.

Outside of work, Grant plays a mean game on the basketball court, lights up the live theatre stage, and is a closet iPhone game addict. He also spends time passing on a number of these traits to his three kids.

Craig Hull

Director

Craig is the co-director of Enabled and gets to play with numbers, analysis, and strategy all day long. But don’t let his job outline fool you, he is quite the ideas man.

As the director who handles the admin, HR and finances, Craig is considered the fatherly figure of Enabled - looking after the flock and its well-being. He does have to bring out the rod sometimes though, playing the role of ‘bad cop’ when sorting through the finances.

Joining Grant and Jason, Craig spends his time outside the office on the basketball court. When the game is over, he’s doing his best to justify the life-and-death necessity of Enabled getting a corporate superbox for the Adelaide Crows.

James Hubbard

Senior Creative

James is Enabled’s senior designer and has the full arsenal of graphic design skills - branding concepts, print layout, pre-press production, illustration, animation, interface design and game graphics. But his usefulness goes beyond ‘making things look pretty’, he is also a great source of creative concepts and bad puns.

He was Enabled’s first Mac believer and likes to keep up-to-date on all things Apple, iPhone and interactive related. In brainstorming meetings, he is learning to watch his words after seeing his joking suggestions end up on print and radio.

A passionate man, James is working hard in life at becoming eccentric. However, at this fledgling stage, he lacks the wardrobe and age, so just comes across as odd.

Jason Boettcher

Senior Developer

Jason is the most proficient multi-linguist at Enabled. He speaks code, code, more code, and occasionally deigns to speak english to us lesser beings too. He is in charge of putting together the games and apps that Enabled produces; grabbing the graphics and concepts from the team and bringing them to life in a conjuration of maths and physics.

As Senior Developer Jason leads the development team through the research and discovery of technological innovations. These new concepts and methodologies can be seen in clients projects and Enabled’s own IP developments.

Video & Motion Graphics

Craig 'E' carries the title of Video and Motion Graphics at Enabled, creating punchy videos for a range of media, from television commercials to animation to online. In addition to his professional reputation, he has earned an ‘in-house’ name for completing "office challenges" at the lunch table and carrying fruit around in his pockets.

Craig sees each job as a challenge and revels in Enabled's down to earth, yet ground-breaking and, at times, guerrilla style of creative media work, where each video piece strives to improve on the last and reach people in a way that static text often struggles to achieve.

In his time off, Craig spends time with his wife, his friends and his bass guitar. Oh, and he might soon be adding basketball to the list for two reasons:

  1. to compete with Craig, Grant and Jason on the court
  2. because of the realisation that: marriage + sitting at a computer creating cool motion graphics = pants that no longer fit.

Chelsea Pietsch

Copy & Creative

Chelsea is the token female at Enabled. But she’s not the coffee girl, she’s the copy girl. Copy and creative that is. She spends her days coaxing core messages out of clients and strategically shaping those messages to connect with target audiences. Using this knowledge and strategy, she lovingly sets about constructing and reconstructing sentences til her heart’s content.

Chelsea has a knack for writing fresh, effective web copy that gets read. She has a reputation for taking clients' ideas and writing, and butchering it into something they don't recognise. After the initial shock, they usually come back for more. She has also formed an intimate relationship with google as she search engine optimises the content.

When she’s not writing at work, she’s, well, writing at home - alternating between her third novel and her blog. When her keyboard politely requests a break (or she gets hungry), you’ll find her with her friends, family and horse.

Ben Caudle

Developer

Ben comes to Enabled via the pressure cooker that is the videogame industry, where aside from becoming cynical and jaded like all good game developers, he did ungodly things to software and hardware in the name of performance and on-time shipping. With a string of titles under his belt boasting over eight million units in global sales, Ben is the man for wringing performance out of iPhones and iPads.

When not fiddling with code, he's making us laugh awkwardly with his twisted humour, impressing us with his burping prowess, and broadening our culinary horizons at lunch with gourmet sandwich ingredients.

Out in the real world, he claims to enjoy macho and chauvinistic activities like listening to heavy metal, drinking to excess, eating red meat, and shooting guns, but we don’t believe him because he rides a scooter.

Developer

Working in the iPhone and iPad arena, Simeon combines the often mutually exclusive talents of programming and graphic design.

Much to his frustration, he’s had less success combining computer games with his much-loved Mac. Which is perhaps why he has so many other hobbies, at least for someone who likes computer games.

As well as painting, running, and accumulating useless facts, Simeon happily dilutes the basketball-crazed theme at Enabled by playing squash. He is also an explorer and adventurer - on a continuous quest to discover new and interesting . . . beer.

Dylan Sale

Developer

Dylan does backend programming and is Craig’s go-to man on database integration. Which isn’t as convenient as it sounds, because Dylan hates database integration.

Also a member of the iPhone and iPad team, Dylan is an expert in game design and academic game theory
(did you even know that existed? I didn’t).

Outside the office, he spends his time playing board games, card games, and computer games, and feeling concerned about his lack of interests outside of games.

Developer

John is Enabled’s technical expert, a programmer, and the go-to man for physics-based games. Which actually is convenient, because he really likes physics-based games. He’s also a fan of digital painting and non-digital drawing (you know, the type using paper and pencil).

He’s an easy-going guy who often can’t decide what to have for lunch and can sometimes be found at the centre of unusual office banter, which can range from topics, such as Mac vs PC, to contests for finding the oddest way of pronouncing a word.

Nola Falk

Digital Designer

A passionate individual with perfectionistic tendencies, Nola loves learning, innovating, and, uh, wearing vests. She specialises in front end web development, CMS, Flash and illustration. While our Digital Designer might wear more vests than the cast of Blossom, don't be fooled - her designs are anything but old-fashioned.

However, Nola must come with a warning: she's an identical twin. If she doesn't seem to recognise you, don't feel bad - you've probably got the wrong twin. A sure way to tell is to call out "Nola" and see if she says "Yes?". Pity James, our Senior Creative, wasn't forewarned.

Outside the office, Nola enjoys reading novels, wearing quirky t-shirt designs, rocking out at music concerts, and being a TV series buff.

Josh Rogers

Digital Designer

Josh has the knack for turning a blank page into a work of art. You could even say creativity seeps out of his bones. He is passionate about his work and known for innovative and exciting visual projects.

With a background encompassing graphics, illustration, web, motion and 3D, and qualifications in design and multimedia, Josh is well suited to breathing aesthetic life into various projects at Enabled. He is often found working with Nola on one of our web projects.

A social kind of guy, he loves bouncing ideas around with his fellow creatives, to the point where James is considering a restraining order.

His striking designs are matched only by his laugh. At first we thought a kookaburra had been trapped in the building.

When he isn’t designing, Josh enjoys photography, playing old school 1990's video games and pretending his fantasy football team is a reality.
